Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

• Land/Hardscape installation and maintenance experience

• Good knowledge of horticultural practices including planting, pruning, weeding, fertilization, mulching, pest and disease ID and their treatment, etc.

• Knowledge and ID skills of hardy woody plants and perennials of the Northeast

• Clean driving record

• Ability to drive 1-ton dump truck – skill driving standard and/or hauling a trailer is a plus. (CDL drivers will receive extra pay)

• Experience operating a skid steer with various attachments

• Detail oriented; positive attitude and personality; able to interact with customers in a helpful, patient manner

• Eagerness to accomplish tasks both independently and as part of a team

• Good physical fitness, with the ability to lift 50 lbs

• Appreciation for working outdoors

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay will be on an hourly basis; range of rates will vary depending on experience and skill

• Overtime pay available in busy seasons

• Health insurance: Available after 90 days; Employer pays 70% for the individual

• Retirement plan: Approximately 4% of salary, after first year

• Vacation: 1 week paid vacation after first calendar year

• Holidays: 5 paid holidays per calendar year, beginning after first 90 days

Salary:    – Entry Level Landscape Techs: $16-$20    – Experienced Crew Leaders: $22-$28/Hour
